McComb High School "Summer Learning" Field Trip News Summer 2024

The McComb High School Summer Learning concluded with an engaging field trip to the Institute of Marine Mammal Studies in Gulfport, MS on June 27, 2024.

Participants encompassed both high school and junior high students. The excursion provided students with firsthand encounters with marine mammals. They listened to researchers and officials dedicated to marine mammal protection, gaining insights into diverse mammalian and reptilian life forms.

Students had hands-on experiences touching stingrays, feeding parakeets, and observing sea lion and dolphin shows. The trip proved highly interactive and educational, enhancing the students' learning experience.
